Apple....Yum, Yum

This little one found some cut up apple pieces in the garden and seemed to be quite enjoying this tasty little treat. While taking photos in the garden I noticed an injured mourning dove in the yard. Its right wing was damaged and it was lying in the snow, I could not leave it there. I'm thinking maybe a hawk or cat. I called the SPCA and the Toronto Wildlife Rescue Center and ended up getting the bird in a box and driving it into the city where hopefully the Toronto Wildlife Center will be able to help it back to health. It still had spunk and energy and I hope this little bird makes it, fingers crossed.
