Leaf Pick-up Day

Rainfall combined with leaf fall creates water run-off problems, so the city hauls the leaves away once a year and sweeps the streets. On my street, neighbors help get the leaves into the street, monitor to see that no one parks their cars, and as the day passes, the leaves are collected and the street swept. All is well for another year, the rain falls, and the water drains away.
