Seashells Decorate What Exactly?

Another damp day and a day of research into several things including Copyright law.

My talk to Markinch Historical Group had raised the issue of copyright on a few images of items some 70 years old. This talk had previously been given to clubs in person and copyright is not an issue.

However, the digital presentation cannot be restricted to club members and it could escape into the wider digital world.

Copyright applies.

I proposed that I give an alternative talk on Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse. I have given this talk on many occasions. The images used are mine and some from NTS sources.

Copyright is not an issue. The NTS can only benefit from the publicity.

And today’s picture. It is a handmade pottery item. It is lying with the back to the cover.

Along the left hand side are a series of four holes to accept tooth brushes.

I am very much of the view that toothbrushes do not need to be displayed for everyone to see.

It has become an ornament.
