Windmill at Parbold

It’s still a bit of a grey day today but thankfully no rain so Mr Bee and I decided to walk the Parbold to Burscough stretch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal.
We parked our car in Parbold village near to the picturesque windmill. Built in 1794, Parbold Windmill was constructed next to the Leeds and Liverpool canal and replaced an earlier water mill that stood by the River Douglas. Over the years the windmill has been used for several purposes, it’s now an art gallery.
