Charred

Today’s walk was on Thursley Common and it made a really nice change. It’s starting to recover following the huge fire there at the end of May and I spotted quite a bit of fungi in amongst the grass and gorse that is now emerging from the charred earth. It’ll be quite a while before it’s back to normal again, though, which seems to be a bit of a theme for this year.
