Glowing skies

A blip at 15:15 yesterday afternoon and the sky looks far more dramatic than it actually was. A relatively warm (10°) day spent digging up all our soft fruit as the dreaded bind weed (convolvulus) had got twisted up in all the roots. We dug up and took all the weed out and dug over the patch, have put a few of the raspberries back and the rest will go back in over the next few days.
Picked up my car from its service, had a bit of a "to do" with them when they wanted to charge me £35 for new windscreen wipers - the car is only 6 months old and that is not fair wear and tear. I am glad they saw the error of their ways.
M and l had thought to perhaps slope off down to Deal for a quiet Christmas on our own this year but read the figures for Kent and think we will spend it in London. Will find out today what tier London will be placed in as from 2nd December.
On another, totally different note, our middle son, C, is 39 today; 39 years ago it was snowing and remained very cold for weeks with lots of snow about for quite a few weeks.
