A Month of Sundays

Mrs B thought to make some baguettes today, sourdough types.  There are four pages of instructions on the subject and it seems to have to take a month of Sundays.

Here the first rolled out baguette is sitting on a floury cloth, waiting to be left to prove (60 minutest) before going into the fridge (30 minutes, the conservatory or porch will do, I reckon).  The baking will happen using this cloth as we don't have a baguette-shape tin.

But because these are sourdough they will have taken an age to get to this stage.  I'm sure that they'll taste wonderful, even if they don't look it.
