Power and fuel.

Oot n aboot this morning.

Big sky and water, nice light. The power station is now being decommissioned after closing in 2016; some of the demolition phases have involved detonation of explosives - the coal conveyor and bunkers were demolished this year in controlled explosions. The tall chimney will be brought down next year. The site is earmarked to become a train building factory. The refinery is across the water - the white gas spheres and fuel product tanks at the docks are visible.

Fair bit of talk today about Christmas and coronavirus restrictions. First Minister’s briefing covered some of the emerging thoughts. More tomorrow.

We did a wee bit of tidying in the room I’m redecorating.

Had a WhatsApp chat with a friend and former colleague. He’s doing well after a bit of a bumpy period.

Family FaceTime. We’d a few laughs.
