The Sun Dial

Noticed today, part of a very old building, in Jersey's Royal Square. I know nothing about it, but I like the inscription: 
"Regulate your clocks by the sun dial 
corrections must be made for the equation of time 
which is given in all the almanacks"

Unable to do much more than sprinkle some stars this week as yet but I do hugely appreciate the lovely comments you leave me.
