Waxing Gibbous - Beaver Moon!

4°C  -  6 mph W Wind Speed  -  9 mph Gusts  -  partly cloudy. The Full Beaver Moon doesn’t occur until St Andrew’s Day - 30 November -  but there were some nice clear patches in the sky early this morning so I had a go just in case it wasn’t on Monday!  Here it is at 00.30 this morning. Why the Beaver Moon?  American Natives called it so because this is the time of year when beavers begin to take shelter in their lodges, having laid up food stores for the long winter ahead. The November Full Moon is also known as the Frost Moon and the Freezing Moon  -  I think we all know why☺
