The Running Father

Life makes a lot more sense when you talk to wiser people about it. Chatting to Grandma this evening about Grandpa and his family, and all her Mum’s brothers and sisters, what they were like...it’s fascinating to recognise the quirks and traits we’ve seemingly picked up from the family members who’ve gone before us. And a much enjoyed FT with aA...which I found very helpful too!

After talking about artists yesterday, today’s picture is one of my favourites, by Charlie Mackesy. I am a big fan of his writings too, and what he stands for!

“This is the story of the prodigal daughter – it should really be called the running Father who waited every day for his girl to come home – the daughter who had rejected him so badly – but when he saw her from a long way off – he ran to her and hugged her and kissed her.”
