Intricate

When trimming back the climbing hydrangea yesterday I came across this nest. I’ve tried to leave branches around it so it will be hidden in spring with the new growth.

For the moment though it is fascinating to see up close the way in which the bird has woven the nest together. A work of beauty and skill.
