Making the Best of it.

I don't often get a chance to shoot one of these guys.  They are around, but are very skittish and usually don't stick around long enough for me to get the camera.  Today I only got off two shots before he took off.

We made the very best of our socially distanced, outside Thanksgiving dinner yesterday.  There were only my husband, myself, and son #2 who works and has contact with other people, so we stayed masked except during the meal.  We sat at one end of a very long table that we set up on our porch and he sat at the other.  The weather cooperated perfectly with afternoon temperatures in the mid 60's and we ate at 4 rather than later when it would start to be too cold.   

Our other three sons had their holiday with only their immediate families and we all visited via zoom.  We made the best of it and are thankful that all of us are staying safe, healthy, and taking no unnecessary risks.

We look forward to next year.
