Nostalgia

Arnside. A place for old fellwalkers who can no longer quite safely make it up Striding Edge.
In their retirement they can walk along the shore and enjoy the sight of their former conquests.

A lovely morning to be out.

My extra features Mrs. K.  She did a degree in Mathematics. She really should have been an Engineer but in 1959 social attitudes were such that an Engineering career was not thought to be possible for a girl.
Here she is enjoying rebuilding the pergola on our patio. When the new beams are installed the old ones above them will be taken out and the grapevine will be safely held up.
The end result will be a larger space for entertaining our vaccinated friends next summer!
