No offence...

In the 19 years I have lived in this house I have had an annual battle with my neighbour's monster privet hedge.  Some years he cuts his side leaving me to do the other side, some years he doesn't bother and it gets huge and blocks out my beautiful view.
This year I have taken matters into my own hands and have put up a fence to keep the brute under control.  It was a glorious day so perfect for getting a quick coat of winter weather protection onto it.
Now I can spend the rest of the winter daydreaming about all the beautiful plants I can grow up it.  I'm thinking wisteria and clematis to start with.
