A walk at Whitley Bay

It was a cold but crisp dry morning, so my Editor & I decided to go to Whitley Bay for a walk along the promenade and the beach.

I liked the view of this ship next to one of the wind turbines - the pastel colours were rather attractive and I liked the simplicity of the composition. Interestingly, there was so little wind that none of the turbines were going - very unusual here!

By St Mary's Island we saw quite a variety of birds so I was glad I had my long lens with me. I've not had time to process many of them yet, but I'll add an extra showing a cormorant who was clearly not pleased about having to share its rock with a crow!

I'll try to put some more of the photos into a Google album tomorrow, with a link.
