Horatio v Horatio

Nelson felt distinctly underwhelmed. Here was just his head-and-shoulders in something not unlike blackboard chalk, hidden away in some rank woods behind a dodgy scaffold pole, whereas that military upstart, Kitchener, had his whole body on top of a whole horse (including its anal sphincter) all cast in bronze parading about by the main road.

What were they thinking? Why wasn't he down at the dockyard!

Researching this, however, I have felt that the balance has been redressed by the fact that Nelson has been commemorated in central London in a square named for the place where he died, whereas Kitchener has been commemorated at the nearest place to where he died, which continues to go by the name of Twatt.
