EDIT: Now I've read it. There is one passage (pp 305-6 in this Folio edition 2019) that describes our reactions to the present pandemic . . . "Documentaries were hastily thrown together, with images of the virus - at least they'd isolated it, it looked like the usual melting gum-drop with spines - and commentary on its methods. [.....] .... there was a run on latex gloves and nose-cone filters."
No mention of a run on toilet paper :-o haha.
