Fun with pen

I'm taking a new class called forests in pen a watercolor and these are the little studies I did over the weekend. I did about six or so, all about four inches square. For some I let the watercolor pattern define the tree shapes. It's very meditative.

Another pretty day here today and we managed to take our walk. The trails we're a bit spongy from last night's rains but it was sunny.
