But before the snow we had rain, rain that froze under the snow.  You don't want to go out in that.

Thankfully it got warmer - ok only 2°C or so, but things melted and you could walk on the ground without fearing for your bahookie.

I've been struggling today.  I think an early bed might help.  Although I find it difficult to get up at dark o' clock at the moment.  Normally I'm happy to be up at and at my desk before 6 but at the moment I prefer my bed.
