A day of lots of things

The morning started with news that a few hundred yards away there had been a police presence since the night before. It's a large green area with a playing field and a play park. We sometimes walk that way for a bit of variety anyway. What I found was 1 police car, 3 police vans, and dogs. The whole field, which is called 'Clocktower Park and is quite extensive, was taped off with 'DO NOT CROSS' police tape. After much speculation on facebook it turns out there had been a 'serious sexual assault' last night. Very unusual for this area, and it is probably making people nervous about going out at night to walk the dog etc. Let's hope they catch the perpetrator very quickly.
Part of our walk was through Abbeymead Spaces park which has that row of Poplar trees, you can't make it out but there are a few squirrel dreys amongst the branches.
After getting home with Jonty there was a grocery delivery and then I got started on the outside lights. We don't do any high lights apart from the Cherry Blossom tree, which meant I had to use the ladders again. This time I was extremely careful but had a couple of wobbles when a branch it was leaning against decided to bend just a little more!!
