Bird in a bush

Robins are don’t scare easily. This one stayed in the bush even though it was right beside the path we were (noisily) walking along. We were on our way back from a 6 mile walk round the moor with Andrea and Pete. When we lived here in the 1970s he was a running companion. Now they have
moved to a nearby town but have been so frightened of Covid this is the first time they have walked with anyone else. We hope to walk with them near their home before Christmas - instead of hills and moor they can offer Christmas lights of suburbia.

I have made a very oily aubergine dish for this evening. It’s a non-drinking night but I don’t think the food would go down at all well without a glass of red. And we have FaceTime with London friends which is after all a social occasion
