It’s December.

My wife got me a shortbread (she knows me too well) Advent calendar! So good. She has a refillable one; each day has a pocket big enough to hold 2 wrapped chocolates.

We were meant to go the Pantomime in Edinburgh today - part of the start of our Christmas in recent years, (we’d visit the Christmas Market too). We bought our opening night tickets way back in January 2020, a few weeks after last years event - and long before the pandemic. Theatres have been closed in Scotland during much of 2020, that’s so sad for the staff and companies and owners. They have received some limited Scottish Government aid - but I doubt it’ll be enough overall.

Finished painting. And we prepared for the carpet fitter tomorrow.

Watched First Minister’s coronavirus statement from Scottish Parliament. No Local Authority Levels of Protection are changed this week.

We had a walk out at a popular visitor attraction at dusk; few folks around.

Family are well. They decorated their Christmas trees in their respective homes this evening.
