K4

This is a rare example of a K4 telephone box in Frodsham and is a Grade II listed building. 

Known as the Vermillion Giant" because of its large size this is one of only 50 produced and incorporates a post box and pre-decimal stamp machine. There was also a lamp which has been removed but you can see the remains of the bracket. It was designed in 1927 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and is built in cast iron with glazed door and sides with small panes of Georgian proportion.

I don't normally like the spot colouring effect but it does work well on this picture.
