A mound with dog

Beautiful morning.  I spotted the potential for a lovely photo here and encouraged the dog to climb to the top of the mound by throwing a piece of carrot up there.  Of course she was more interested in finding that carrot than the view.  Ah well I still liked it - especially as the day got greyer as it went on.

Not least in attending the online funeral of a well loved trumpet player and Linton Jazz band member Tim Holt.  Only a little older than me,  and seemingly having just got through the worst of his cancer treatment, he died unexpectedly last month.  The acoustics weren't great and it was a struggle to hear some of the speeches but there was no doubting the love for him and deep sorrow of his family and friends.  RIP Tim.
