Sunflowers in Southbourne

(Please see the extras)

Fellow blipper “13 South“ referred to the Sunflower house in her 28/11/20 blip:- https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2779414730802990175

I’ve been trying to get to the house, but our daily Covid walk is usually to the goats.

I ordered turnip tops (in Italian Cime di Rapa) which I have enjoyed on visits to our favourite Italian restaurant in London. So was delighted Ocado offered them this week. They arrived this morning. I spent a while washing, picking through, trimming and then cooked them tonight. Tough, not nice, have binned the lot. Kept the trimmings for the goats.

Raining hard until late afternoon, so we took the car. First stop the Sunflower House, 5 minutes away. Didn’t get out of the car as would’ve got too wet, so took these pictures from the car. Great fun, hope the artwork is appreciated by the neighbours. Thanks to 13S for bringing to my attention.

Drove up and down Southbourne High Street. Shops all open, But quiet because of the weather. Then drove back via the goats, but none to be seen. We obviously weren’t expecting passers-by with titbits today.

Was about to head home, but decided to see if the new café had opened on Richmond Hill, where South Coast Roast was. Now called Coffee 24 and 0selling the excellent locally roasted Bad Hand coffee, and cakes from Bakehouse 24.

Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting today’s Abstract Thursday challenge.

23:30 so going to bed. Good Night
