To Buy or Not to Buy

I have spent hours poring over entry level telescopes. This one is highly ecommended.
My interest in astronomy proper has developed this year, from just idle curiosity to my signing up for a course and in chasing the Neowise comet in July - yes I did get to see it through my Celestron binoculars.
Now I'm wanting to see the planetary conjunction on December 21st, so would like my scope by then
So why am I hesitating. Well, it's positively peeing down out there and we haven't had a clear night sky for weeks.
So I'll just mull it over a bit more before I part with my cash.
Any good advice out there?
