One great advantage of technological developments is the easy access to quality recording of classical music. Whole collections of pieces are available remarkably cheaply, such as these wonderful Haydn string quartets. One of the few things I am starting to treat myself to again, after having to do without for quite a long time. Haydn had such a consistently high level of inspiration, his music is a joy with a deep sense of integrity, and there is hardly ever a poor movement in his vast output.
