Little Ross Island

Today's the day ……………………….. to indulge

I don't what it is with me and islands - and sunsets?  I can't get enough of them.  I'm completely addicted.

So here is Little Ross Island which lies at the mouth of Kirkcudbright Bay.  Beyond it is the Solway Firth and on a clear day (which this was) you can see the shadowy outline of the Isle of Man, way in the distance.  I wrote earlier in the year about the murderous goings-on on Little Ross back in the day, if you want to have a look.

But today, it looked very tranquil and innocent - as the sun set in the west - and it took on a rosy glow ………………………….
