Cliff Walk - Balcary Bay

A cold sunny day here , so we drove to the seaside late morning. We walked the high cliffs at Balcary Bay to Rascarell beach and back. This cliff walk is not for anyone who has a fear of heights.

En route I spotted a porpoise making its way towards Heston Island -(the calm waters made it easy to spot ). We watched it as it came up for air 2 or 3 times then disappeared underwater and popped up further away. I’ve not seen a porpoise on the coast around here before ... a magical site.
There were also great views of the snow covered mountains of the Lake District across the Solway.
We had veggie haggis , neeps & tatties for tea.
I felt dizzy and unwell in the evening so went to bed early.
