More rising water

The area where I live is called after this river, The Rotten Calder, that runs through "a romantic scenic gorge titled Calderglen.  Over 160 nature trails border the river on both banks which eventually runs into the River Clyde at Bothwell" (Wikipedia).
Unfortunately the recent heavy rainfall has caused further erosion on the banks of the river that, in places, are sliding into the water. The situation is not helped by the fact that badgers also burrow into the the river banks causing further erosion.  Apparently action needs to be taken now to prevent further damage that may affect houses that have been built perhaps too close to the glen.  I almost slid into the river myself trying to take this shot as the ground was very slippy from lots of mud.
