Lorna, Theo, nanny and camel 1916

These photographs are labelled in one family album 'The Cromlech Xmas 1914'. In another the same pictures are dated 1916. Is Lorna almost one year old in these pictures, or almost three? We think the latter. Are those pictured really dressed for winter? The foliage in the background also gives a hint of a time earlier in the year.

'Cromlech' is the name of a house in Stoke Bishop in Bristol, about a half hour walk from Lorna's grandparents' house. The house is quite grand, as can be seen from a sales schedule that can be downloaded from https://media.onthemarket.com/properties/1260742/doc_1_2.pdf. This was the home of Lorna's maternal grandfather Peter Featherstone Witty and his second wife Dorothy. Lorna's grandfather is pictured to the right of the photograph.

Lorna and her brother Theo are easily identifiable in the two pictures. They are with their nanny in the top one. We don't know for certain the identity of the other children, but the baby could be Lorna's uncle Rupert (born 1915), and the smaller boy on the camel his elder brother, and Lorna's uncle, Philip (born 1910). As for the camel, who could he/she possibly be?
