Severine James

My partner Chris is going to Africa again for a month in March.

We have been inspired by a young woman - 'Severine James' who lives in Dedza district in Malawi.

Severine was born with no arms & is blind in one eye but she has passed her GCSE equivalent by using her feet to write but she is also struggling to cope with her baby & adequate food.

Chris says that Severine was visited in her village by his friend & she was given a meal that had been prepared in the city. The way she & her child enjoyed the meal it really showed that they haven't had much food to eat.

This girl and her baby sometimes go to bed with just a cup of water. When her child wakes up in the night all she can give her child is a sip of water in the hope her baby will go back to sleep.

Chris or I are available to do gardening or any other odd jobs and people can donate any amount for the work. We are aiming to raise £250 which will help this girl a lot. My mum has collected some clothes so we are hoping to send a parcel of food & clothes.

If you know of any charities in Malawi that might be able to help please let us know

Thanks Chris & Jas
