Wood sculpture

Our next door neighbours had an enormous fir tree growing in their front garden.  It was a lovely tree, but grew to over 30 feet and currently is blocking the daylight from the "new office" required to enable working from home.  C is very hands on when tasks need doing and decided to cut the tree down by himself as he is currently furloughed.  It took him the best part of a week to remove the branches and he has spent the past few days, uncovering the roots in order to dig them up once the trunk has been cut down.  It actually looks lovely.
