Pretty Sky

Went to bed at 10 last night, head hit the pillow and Goodnight Vienna.  I woke up at 20 past 6 this morning - that's just a great night's sleep.

Came downstairs and started to log into my work computer.  Then the kittens arrived to play "Let's Bite And Chew All The Cables".  I threw them out and closed my office door.  They do not give in easily.  They both clawed at the door - there were Miaows about the unfairness of the World.

I opened the door.  Yay, said the kittens, let's chew all the cables.

I can't work like that.

Not a great start to the day.  But I worked through and enjoyed quitting for the day just before 3.

Went out for a brisk walk - had to be brisk, it's freezing out there.

Thoughts are a with a colleague though.  Their Mother-In-Law died yesterday and while the death of a relative can never be an easy thing to deal with, dealing with it in 2020 is an extra difficult challenge.

On a lighter note.  I got an email just before I clocked off "Please call me" - and it gave a mobile number.  What do I want to call a financial consultant in Hannover* about?  I sent him a pleasant reply asking how I could help but only to him.  BUT.  He had used a massive distribution list, and so many people answered by hitting the "Reply to All" button.  Cue - 300 mails in about 3 minutes.  My favourites were the people replying to everyone by writing "Stop replying to everyone", they made up at least half of the mails.  I expect about a 1000 mails tomorrow morning...

* Properly spelled with 2 ns.  Not like Hanover Street in Edinburgh.
