A little batty

It was a lovely sunny morning but I couldn't go out as I was waiting for a parcel to arrive.  By the time it came the weather had transformed to dark, grey and cold.

I went for a walk round the village but everywhere was very uninspiring due to the weather.  I spotted this bat hanging from one of the trees in the castle - I assume that it's a leftover from Halloween. It must be a very chilly bat and it should think seriously about hibernating!
