Swans at twilight

Another bitterly cold day, but without any beautiful hoar frost in Peterborough. Most of its was spent at the computer with a brief mid-morning foray to Waitrose for a bit of shopping and to collect Ben from work.

As the sun set I dashed down to the Rowing Lake for some fresh air in the brief interlude between work and my second Zoom committee meeting of the week, but didn't stay long as there was a bitter wind. The large herd of swans have started to become quite vocal, and I spotted a pair courting, the first of the season.

The sun's now setting at 15.47 and will set at this time until the 18th December, when it shifts to 15.48! The turn of the year is close now, and we can start to look forward to lengthening days.
