Christmas at the Botanics

Tonight was our appointed day for the light display at the Botanics and, although some of the set pieces were lovely or interesting, the music by the earlier pieces along the route was most enjoyable, on the whole, we said to ourselves we were a little underwhelmed.

We spent some time among this laser display, as the generated cloud enhanced the light beams and all around glittered like fireflies.
Glowing cyclamen were charming, as were the Christmas trees (see extra photo) but so many exhibits gathered a crowd and not all were conscious of distancing in the darkness.

And, to cap it all, there was no churros stand, just one long queue for whatever drinks or eats were available, at the one site.

But a jolly Santa greeted everyone passing with a cheerful Hello! and comment - poor man he must be hoarse at the end of the evening shift!

Once home I decided it wasn't so bad, really, just a little too crowded for comfort and another year, when Covid-19 is but a bad memory, we'll go and it will be splendid once again.
