Climbing to the top...

The tree surgeons arrived with an array of saws this morning and have made an excellent job of reducing the oak tree by 50%. It was fascinating to watch how confidently one of them climbed up and up and at times swung from the trunk. We now have a fair supply of logs for the fire next year by which time the wood will have seasoned and dried.

I’ve not done much else today really. I had a mammogram first thing at our usual mobile unit. Not a nice procedure but another wonderful service given. This evening I joined a group for compline. A new experience and a good one for today.

Valerie will have blood tests tomorrow and another scan and a tissue biopsy next week. Thank you again for thinking of her.
