tufts...

...of snow

on tree branches - everywhere you look...

yes - people - it snowed! in a big way - last night - and today... pretty white stuff - along with ice and cold temps, making for bad driving if one had to be outside on the roads - however, i did not - so was safely tucked inside to enjoy it...

this morning - i was enraptured with tiny tufts - left on pine brances - then began to wonder... as i often do, you know... why does snow fall differently on various tree branches? why tufts on this particular tree - yet on the one barely in the frame - alongside the right - it would appear the snow has simply laid down over the branches... huh! what makes it do that? does one snowflake say to the other "let's land this way on that tree - but change it up over there on that one?" perhaps i'm being silly - as is sometimes the case - but it's one of those simple things to ponder, isn't it? have you ever noticed how the snow falls? it merely happened to be one of those things i was chewing on today -

snow is, after all, a magical, almost mystical element in my mind - it comes... provides pleasure and fun, or on the other hand - can be perceived to bring some headache... then it goes - doesn't stick around for long in the grand scheme of things - but it sure does make for...
