The footsteps of history

This is the rather grand stair case in the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. Where many a famous resident has treaded, from Ghandi to John and Yoko, Barack Obama and countless Kings, Queens and Heads of State. I missed David Cameron's check in by one day!

The hotel was built in 1903 by the "Father of Indian Industry" Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.

So if you drink Tetley tea, drive a Jaguar, eat salt or use a variety of domestic cleaning products; you're part of his legacy.
