Funeral flowers

My neighbour's mother died recently aged 100. Listening to the eulogy, the pandemic and our restrictions pale into insignificance compared to living through the blitz and post war rationing. She was born in Ireland, proud of being Irish and of course Danny Boy was sung at the funeral.
It was the worst of funeral weather, grey, grim and in Grimsby. The funeral flowers were all white which again I am told is an Irish tradition.
