Down at the ponds

Started the day's activities with making sourdough herb crackers to go in the small hampers the Wednesday meals' people are getting, I need to do another batch so everyone has half-a-dozen.
Had a discussion with the postman as to why we weren't getting much post, about half what we usually get, but he didn't know and it certainly isn't his fault as he's been working. Then tried to contact a business to get a refund on a cheque - £60 more than it was written for was taken out of my account. (probably a bank error but the bank says to contact the retailer first). I was unsuccessful as they've not been answering emails and their advertised phone no has a message saying it isn't available. I've tried via their website, now.
Finally got out for a run late morning in the drizzle, which stopped, and went via the ponds to see the little grebe that has turned up. I did see it briefly, pretending to belong to the moorhens, but also all these goosanders and lotsl of tufted ducks - as well as the gulls, mallards and swans.
Getting on with Sunday's service in the afternoon, more to do shortly, and got some knitting done so a profitable day on the whole
