Sunset, Race Point, Provincetown, Massachusetts

Today was T's Birthday and we had a safe road trip to the very tip of Cape Cod to see the sunset. Old Sol did not disappoint as it dipped into the Atlantic Ocean and dunes of old Cape Cod. It was and intense and gloriously long sky show in biting crisp, cold wind(facemasks do keep one warmer). We were properly dressed, Irish sweaters, down coats or vests, gloves and hats for the first time this season. It was wonderful to be out of the house. Out of the house on one of the most beautiful beaches under a technicolor sky, just the two of us.

After the sky show, on the way home we stopped in Wareham at our favorite lobster place for fried lobster. We had brought trays, aprons and a small battery lantern to set ourselves up to dine in the front seats of the Subaru. Automobile glamping, a train went by all decorated with lights and we toasted to T's Birthday and a better year ahead. It was a wonderful day, it almost felt normal, almost except for those masks and we couldn't go in any of our favorite shops in P-Town.

For the Record,
This day came in sunny and seasonally warm at home. I finally got the driveway snow stakes hammered into the still unfrozen ground and we had a fabulous day on the Cape.

All hands wary, but happy.
