Buddo ..

.. and a Buddo Christmas decoration made by a local child for a window display.

Skara Brae Buddo
The ‘Skara Brae Buddo’ is a unique 5,000-year-old human figurine 9.5cm high carved from whalebone and originally discovered at the Skara Brae village in Orkney during the excavation of the village about 1850s.  It had been ‘lost’ in a box of other artifacts given to the Stromness Museum in the 1930s.  It eventually went on display in Stromness Museum in 2017.
