Ullswater

Gerald, ancient king of the second Mychip Gull dynasty, has fossilised and stood here proudly watching over the many generations of flocks that have followed the age old ritual flight from field to lake that stretches back deep into unconscious gull memory and the furthest reaches of time itself.
On very special auspicious occasions, like today, he is adorned with flowing little wispy bits of stuff, a mark of his revered status, and a misty sodden wet shroud descends across the lake in his honour.
