Here, mind this tree a sec will you?

Time for the big Christmas tree sortie today, Not for us, this year, the arduous trek out into the forest to find a tree we like, the cutting down of a beauty in its prime, the dragging it back to the car through snowdrifts, the piling it onto the roof of the car, the scary ride back to the city.

Actually, we don't do that any year. We go and pay our $60 to the Habitat for Humanity cause and get the tree we are given. 

Assuages the guilt somewhat.
