Trentham porte-cochere

This is part of the grand entrance to Trentham Hall at Trentham Gardens and is only a fraction of what remains of the grand hall. It's still grade II listed. Much of the hall was demolished in the early part of the 20th century. It would have been an amazing place to see if it had survived.

I also learned today that one of the chaps I see regularly on my walk here died this morning following a short illness (not Covid). It will be strange not to see him feed the swans.
