Peeking
There is no point in getting up early to start work. The kittens take getting up as a sign to start going bonkers and that food will be provided very shortly. It is not possible to concentrate on work if you have kittens constantly flying around, ruching up the rug, fighting under the sofa, galumphing everywhere and generally celebrating Kittenness.
It is very cute. But it stops me from starting work early, which means I don't finish until late - 3 hours later than I did back in Spring. I am not a fan of 8:30 until after 5. Much more a fan of 6:30 until just after 2:30 - there's a chance to get out and get some daylight.
Or there would be if we had any daylight. The day started grey and got greyer and then dark. I haven't left the house. It is not a fun way to live.
Through some nice timing I was looking at some documentation - here the command PEEK, when Rani did just that from behind my monitors. Not the greatest Blip but the best I could manage today.
In other kitten news: Chaiyya comes to see me every evening. She likes a play and a bit of schmusen. Also to show me how many claws she has and how sharp they are. It's all good fun. Normally she gets tired and goes to sleep on my rucksack, but last night she asked to come up and lie on my lap. She's never done that before. And I felt stupidly happy for the 2 minutes she lay there and purred.
