Stodmarsh

This is a national reserve once irrigated by Monks and later changed through colliery subsidence. Lots of birds stop here on their migration routes but today hides were locked and no living creatures in evidence. Muddy underfoot but good exercise under open skies. We'll return in the spring after a dry spell.
It's between Canterbury and Thanet.
